Contents and plan

Participants are asked to stand up and position themselves within the room according to an imaginary 'scale' or defined categories.

Use instruction sheets with the different categories or scale labels to help participants get orientated and find their right position.

In order to better understand the activity and to break the ice within the group, the trainers may start with an easy question:

  1. What did you drink with breakfast today?
Categories: COFFEE – TEA – OTHER
  2. Have you ever attended training about Ebola before?
    Categories: YES – NO
  3. Have you ever put on personal protective equipment?
    Categories: YES – NO
  4. Scale from
I AM NOT AT ALL AFRAID OF EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE-> I AM VERY AFRAID OF EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE

Depending on the group, the trainers may ask more questions concerning the participants’ origin, mother tongues…

Reflection

Every time the participants have lined up, the trainers will ask a few participants about their “position” and ask for their opinion.
