Practice and simulation

For the care of Ebola virus disease (EVD) patients, certain sequences and movements must be mastered in a safe and routine manner. This requires not only the knowledge of appropriate principles and procedures, but also regular practical training.
In hands-on exercises and realistic simulations, we practise both the general principles of dealing with infectious patients as well as the required skills regarding self-protection and patient care.

The EFFO project has shown that there is a need for separate, intensive practical training in order to safely teach this module. Therefore you will not find detailed instructions here, but merely an overview of the individual exercises. If you plan to realize a training in Module 4 "Triage & Isolation" and Module 5 "Personal protective equipment", please contact us. We will try to put you in touch with an experienced EFFO trainer.
