Module 1: Ebola virus disease

In this module, the participants learn general information about the Ebola virus disease (EVD). This knowledge forms the basis for the further contents of the training course. The theoretical understanding of the principles should motivate to practice the skills intensively throughout the course of the training.

To introduce the content at the appropriate point, this module is divided into two presentations. The first part deals predominantly with the epidemiology, transmission and symptoms of EVD. The second part is dedicated to the diagnosis, pathophysiology and treatment of the disease.
