The EFFO training program in Senegal focused on the sustainable improvement of Infection, Prevention and Control (IPC), including safe waste management of used PPE-Personal Protective Equipment for instance

In case of high-consequence contagious diseases (e.g., Ebola virus disease), inadequate handling of hospital waste represents an additional but avoidable risk of infection.
